Last week Tech got put on the national MAP 🗺️, beating number 4 ranked UMiami 28-23 🌀. Brent Key picked up another signature win 🏆 to add to his many already and Haynes King + Aaron Philo coordinated a perfect game. Despite injuries 🤕 to many of the secondary, Tyler Santucci called a brilliant game on defense to lock down the lethal Miami offense and prevent Heisman hopeful Cam Ward from throwing all over us. This game gave me so so much faith ⛪️ in the rest of the season and most importantly with this win we are GOING BOWLING!!!!!!! 🎳🥣🏏 SHOUTOUT PETE WEBER 🐓. This week we have a special Thursday night game time where we will have the opportunity to finish ACC play with a winning record. It will be very very cold (not just bc aidan birr is going to make his field goals) so make sure to bundle up and get ready for a dogfight against N.C. State.

1. Buster Faulkner, Tyler Santucci, and Brent Key and really the WHOLE DAMN coaching staff deserve so much credit. The secondary was hurt my injuries, they had a QB who could barely throw a ball and they gameplaned and executed perfectly to beat a top-5 team in the nation. It’s hard for me to state just how much that means and how difficult it is to do something like that.

2. Just like its hard to express how much the coaching staff allowed us to succeed last game it also comes right back to the players. HAYNES KING IS A DOG!! He is so integral to this team’s success and seeing him thrive out there was amazing. He is so tough and watching him carry the ball 20 times on a injured shoulder. Now he’s def got that dog in him.

3. Last thing, UMiami is the dirtiest team in the ACC and I can’t stand playing them. The refs missed two CLEAR targeting calls and it felt like players were getting hurt left and right. That being said WE BATTLED AND WE PROVED WHY WE WERE THE BETTER TEAM ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON. We ran the ball all over the “best” running defense in the ACC and came up with clutch plays when we needed it. Hopefully, this weekend an NC State won’t come up to our student section and stare us down and tell us to STFU (sorry Miriam and Aastha)

1. Control the game and the crowd. The Dodd will be loud and we will need to use that to our advantage. Let’s overwhelm the wolfpack and keep our offense on the field. Haynes King will likely not be 100% so it will be integral to keep the Wolfpack on their toes and run another great gameplan

2. Force a turnover or two PLEASE. It is the perfect way to either start a game or seal a game. The momentum gained from just one turnover goes so so so far in a thursday night dogfight like this.
