BEYBLADE BEYBLADE LET IT RIP pt.2

Intro:

Hello everyone it is 🍆🪵, still bringing the 🪵 and 5 BOOMS ON THE BOOMMETER for your 🫵 10th weekly preview of the 2024 Season 🏈🏟️🚗👏. Last week we came up short against the Hokies 🦃 of Virginia Tech to endure our second loss in a row. While the defense had their most successful game of the season, the offense decided to hibernate like a bear 🐻 and we lost ☹️ 21-6. WE DIDN’T EVEN SCORE A TOUCHDOWN AGHHH 😡. Zach Pyron 👨🏻‍🦰 started the game and got benched and then true freshman Aaron Philo ✝️ came in to try and be our savior but it ended up being too late. At least Aidan Birr ❄️ was able to make two field goals this week :). Regardless of the result, the atmosphere in Blacksburg was amazing and I hope I get to go back there for a future game. Now, following a off week, we take on the UNDEFEATED Miami Hurricanes 🌀 🦩who are ranked number 4️⃣ in the country!! The story of the week is will Haynes King play? The answer could determine how this game plays out!! Stay TUNED

VT Recap:

THREE KEY TAKEAWAYS

  1. Haynes King matters more to this team then anyone else and it is going to be very difficult to win games without him. King matches our system perfectly and his value can not be stated enough. If he doesn’t play against UMiami we stand no chance against them. If you want a more in-depth reasoning on why he matters to us just find me and I’ll explain.

  2. Our defense had one hell of a game. We kept them under 100 yards rushing, forced them to punt 10 times, and held them to 2/15 on 3rd down. All of this was done without KYLE EFFORD (one of our best defensive players). We NEED to keep this energy and momentum going into this huge contest.

  3. If you prove no threat to throw downfield, you will NOT be able to establish any sort of run game. Very similar to Notre Dame, the Hokies made us beat them over the top and Pyron offers 0 of that ability. If King is unable to play there is no reason not to just start Philo. Philo is incredibly young and will not lead us to some massive upset but it sets us up well for the future of Tech.

UMIAMI Profile:

  • Record is 9-0 , #4 in the nation

  • They score A LOT AND A LOT OF POINTS

  • The QB-WR combo of Cam Ward and Xavier Restrapo is lethal

  • They overcame late deficits to both California and Virginia Tech.

  • They rule Florida (having won against Florida, FSU, USF, and FAMU)

  • This will be a very difficult game for us to upset them

  • BUTTTTTT, if u remember one game from last year…. NOTHING IS EVER OVER UNTIL ZEROES ARE ON THE CLOCK

  • MARIO CHOKBAL

  • Mario Cristobal - Head Coach UMIAMI

    • former Umiami football player in the early 1990s (offensive tackle)

    • 2x National Champion as a player in 1989 and 1991

    • first head coach job was FIU (florida international) - overall not super successful

    • worked in offensive coaching roles at both Bama and Oregon

    • Took over for Willie Taggart as the HC of Oregon

    • 2 time Pac 12 champion

    • Left to coach at his alma mater - 10 year 80 million dollar contract

    • 21-13 record currently at UMiami

    • famously choked the shit of the game against GT last season

    • he doesn’t know how to call a QB kneel

    • he is a very good recruiting head coach - 2015 named the top recruiting coach in the nation

    • first cuban american coach in NCAA D-1

  • Cam Ward #1 QB

    • this dude has been in the league for forever

    • started his career at Incarnate Word and played 2 seasons there

    • Then he played two seasons at Wazzou (washington state) in Pullman

    • Then he transferred to UMiami and is now a Heisman Hopeful coming into the home stretch of the season

    • 3,146 yards, 29 touchdowns and 6 Ints -passing

    • key to the turnaround of Umiami and their lethal passing attack

    • Coming off a win versus Duke where he threw for 400+yards and 5 touchdowns

  • Xavier Restrepo - #7 Wide Receiver

    • UMiami’s best wide receiver who will easily surpass 1000+ yards this year

    • 856 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns so far this season

    • eclipsed 1000+ yards last season

    • currently in his 5th season as a Hurricane

    • one of Cam Ward’s biggest threats

    • won’t look like he would blow you away but holy cow he seems to always be open

he ugly

Dwood’s 🔑s to the Game:

  1. Watch for the 3rd quarter strike. Miami is a second half team and regardless of what the score is at half, it is imperative that we come out excited and hot to start the second half. Against Duke Miami looked like they were on upset early and then all of a sudden it turned into a blowout.

  2. Have to expose Miami’s weaknesses on defense and establish a balance between running and passing. If King doesn’t play we cannot solely rely on running the ball into Miami’s defensive line.

  3. Make Cam Ward make decisions while under pressure. Ward has traditionally had a bit of a turnover problem so really trying to make him feel uncomfortable is very important.
