Intro:

Hello everyone it is 🍆🪵, still bringing the 🪵 and the BOOM (the rizzler literally played basketball for the NY Knicks) for your 🫵 7th weekly preview of the 2024 Season 🏈🏟️🚗👏. Last week we handled the Duke Blue Devils, winning 24-14. Haynes King had two passing touchdowns (one to Jamal and one to Eric) and Zach Pyron added a rushing TD. Brent Key is 10-1 now following a loss. Next weekend, the club and the team travel to Chapel Hill to face off against the Tar Heels (UNC 🐏.) in a highly anticipated Geoff Collins revenge game. Geoff Collins is the current defensive coordinator at UNC and has done what I would call a subpar job 💩 (he literally allowed 70 points to James Madison 🦅). The Jackets are looking to go 5-2 on the season and take one step closer to bowl eligibility.

BONUS SEGMENT:

Since we have played Duke and UNC the past two weeks I thought I would share a list of schools I don’t like solely based off of their NCAA basketball performance (in no particular order).

1. DUKE IS PUKE UNI - grayson allen is a dirty basketball player

2. UNC - home of armando bacot - beat gonzaga in national championship

3. BAYLOR - beat gonzaga in national championship - i do respect scott drew

4. UCONN - beat Gonzaga in Sweet 16 last two years (sorry nick)

5. hofstra - justin wright foreman.

6. i would say u[sic]ga but they are irrelevant at bball

7. any team rick pitino coaches

8. liberty - i can’t stand this school in general

9. to be continued at a later date when i have more time

Duke Recap:

The game through my emotions:

1. pre-game - confident and excited, vegas has as heavy betting favorites

2. reck leads team onto the field - ecstatic

3. haynes king drives down the field and zach pyron scores a TD - through the roof happy (think it could be a blowout)

4. we add another FG to go up 10-0 - happy, but for some reason i feel a little worried

5. mini disaster strikes - duke gets a couple of questionable penalty calls to go their way (no way in hell that was pass interference - syeed gibbs should have had a pick)

6. duke scores a TD and goes into half only down 10-7 - i’m livid, worried, scared, and hoping that somehow we don’t lose

7. we can’t move the ball on offense- the real worry has set in now

8. duke scores a TD when Maalik Murphy throws it over the middle and our D is nowhere - I’M capital W Worried

9. THEN THE MAN THE MYTH THE LEGEND HAYNES KING LEADS A GO_AHEAD TD DRIVE in the 4th quarter - IM ALL CAPS H HYPE

10. WE SCORE AGAIN - my voice is almost lost at this point, we will win, we hopefully will make a bowl

11. Ahmari Harvey gets 1st INT of year - no way we actually forced a turnover

12. WE WIN 24-14, players of the game - Haynes King, Jamal Haynes, O-line, Ahmari Harvey

Dwood’s 🔑s to the Game:

1. Stop the run. Make UNC beat you over the top with their relatively inexperienced quarterback

2. Win the turnover battle. It seems like we don’t produce many turnovers so we really need to limit ours. Haynes King has done that really well this year.
